The Elder Scrolls Online MMORPG has been running for almost six years now and has been very successful. Nothing should change about that. When it comes to developer Zenimax, the online role-playing game runs parallel to The Elder Scrolls 6 and even beyond.
With the Black heart from Skyrim and the associated addon Greymoor became the next chapter of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online announced. There is no end to the online role-playing game in sight – The Elder Scrolls 6 doesn't change anything if it goes to Zenimax.
Big plans for ESO
Rich Lambert, creative director at Zenimax Online, explains that The Elder Scrolls Online will run in parallel with The Elder Scrolls 6 when the next RPG in the Bethesda series comes out – whenever that will be. He says the MMORPG has a very healthy community with around 15 million players. According to Lambert, the online game is growing steadily and there are no signs that this growth phase is subsiding. The players would love ESO.
The development team already has plans for 2021 and beyond. ESO fans can expect a lot of new content in the coming years. But now the story around the Black Heart of Skyrim is coming up. Lambert can well imagine that The Elder Scrolls Online not only runs parallel to The Elder Scrolls 6, but also beyond.
