The action comes from veterans of Matrix and John Wick

Matrix 4 is due to hit German cinemas on May 20, 2021, and will not only push us into the seats in terms of story but also because of the phenomenally staged action. Two Matrix and John Wick veterans are responsible for the success of this project.

In Matrix 4 is looking forward to seeing old friends again: Keanu Reeves will take on the role of Neo again, Carrie-Anne Moss plays Trinity and Jada Pinkett Smith can dress up as Niobe. But well-known names are also bustling behind the scenes. Lana Wachowski had already made the first three films with her sister Lilly and is now managing the script and the implementation of the fourth part.

It is also clear that two Matrix and John Wick veterans will take care of the action in Matrix 4. Chad Stahelski, David Leitch and her stunt company 87eleven provide the conception of the action scenes and the training of the actors. Chad Stahelski was already on board as the hourly double and coach of Keanu Reeves in the first Matrix film, and he also acted as the stunt coordinator for the two sequels. Together with Leitch, he then directed the cult action film John Wick (also with Keanu Reeves) and the two sequels. Leitch, in turn, worked as a director, stuntman, hour coordinator, hourly choreographer and actor on many more films, including Fight Club, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2 and Fast & Furios: Hobbs & Shaw.

In one Interview with Hollywood reporter Chad Stahelski recently spoke about the exact form in which he is involved in the implementation of Matrix 4. Lana Wachowski always provides the basis for a scene. It specifies what happens, where it happens, which characters are involved, which conflict has to be resolved and with which emotional or psychological or whatever development the characters leave this scene. She then goes to the Stahelski team with her "great ideas" and asks: What do you have in your pocket full of tricks to make it completely crazy? "

Then the team brainstorming starts. How can you make it bigger, better, cooler? What can you do to bring Wachowski's vision and visual concept to the screen? According to Stahelski, the latter is not so easy, since Lana Wachowski is one of those people who can and still want to tease out a little more from very good suggestions. And as far as the current state of production is concerned, the collaboration seems to be fruitful. According to Stahelski, Lana Wachowski's ideas are not only cool and brilliant, but also very fun. She understands what the fans want. He is certain that anyone who loves the Matrix trilogy will also love the new Matrix film.

As Corona wants, we will be able to convince ourselves of this from May 20, 2021, because then Matrix 4 will be released in German cinemas.
