Animal Crossing: New Horizons has only been released for the Nintendo Switch so far, but the upcoming game Roots of Pacha could bring some cuteness to the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X. It remains to be seen whether it can replace games like Animal Crossing.
Developer Soda Den recently announced a new farm and life simulation game. At first glance, it is strongly reminiscent of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. Roots of Pacha plays in the Stone Age, but might be a great alternative for fans of this genre.
The gameplay of Roots of Pacha is what you'd expect when you think of games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. Again, it's about fishing, going into the mines, creating fields, crafting and making friends with the villagers. We have included the first trailer for you below.

Roots of Pacha appears for almost all ports
The game will too a cooperative multiplayer mode offer where players can share resources, participate in fishing tournaments and enjoy cut scenes together. A total of up to four players can play at the same time.
Roots of Pacha is slated to be released in 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and the Switch. However, an exact release date is not yet known.
