Warner managers have responded to the current corona crisis and released an updated plan for upcoming cinema releases. Among others, the superhero films The Batman, Shazam 2 and The Flash are affected. We have the new data for you.
The corona crisis continues to have an impact on the cinema industry. Since the big screens are currently not available, all start dates have been postponed, and numerous shootings that are currently underway or should start soon have to be postponed to protect the health of the crews.
Warner managers have now reacted to this crisis and published an updated plan for the previously scheduled cinema releases (via Movie starts).
- The Batman with Robert Pattinson should not be released on June 25, 2021, but on October 01, 2021.
- The Flash Remarkably, it will be released earlier than planned on June 3rd, 2022 (instead of July 1st, 2022).
- Shazam 2 will be moved from April 1, 2022 to November 4, 2022.
The dates are the cinema releases in the USA. The German cinema premieres could differ slightly, often films start a day earlier in Germany. By the way: According to the new plan, Wonder Woman should continue to release in Germany on August 13, 2020, for this film there was no further postponement of the theatrical release. If this changes, we will of course keep you up to date.
