To Man of Medan and Little Hope throws the development studio Supermassive Games this year the next part of the The Dark Pictures Anthology in the ring. With House of Ashes, the third part of the horror collection will be released on October 22nd. This gave the team that with Until Dawn made the breakthrough in 2015, announced as part of the Summer Game Fest 2021. Again we will be able to plunge into the scary adventure both alone and in a 2-player online co-op mode or even a 5-player couch co-op mode. House of Ashes is available for PC, Playstation 4 and PS5, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.

Here you can see the in the context of the Summer Game Fest published trailer:

After the predecessor Little Hope dealt with the subject of witch hunts in the eponymous village, the setting in House of Ashes changes tremendously: We accompany an elite CIA unit that was operating an underground chemical weapons factory in Zagros during the Iraq war in 2003 -Mountains would like to investigate. However, local militia soldiers stand in the way of the Americans. An earthquake plunged the two parties into the depths and discovered the ruins of a Sumerian temple.

As in the previous series, our characters await eerie, supernatural creatures that pose a deadly threat to everyone. We have to make sure with our decisions again that the characters in the underground cave system make the right choice and survive to the end. As always in the games of Supermassive Games, a wrong decision can have a devastating effect. We’ll find out by October 22 at the latest whether the development team can eliminate the weaknesses of Man of Medan and Little Hope.
