A virus has turned a large part of the people into a kind of zombies, the rest are trying to survive in the MMO The Day Before. You wake up with no memories and need to find out what is going on in the first place. To do this, you create a hero who you steer through the post-apocalyptic world. Along the way, you will meet other survivors with whom you can team up. To do this, it is necessary to collect resources, improve your equipment and fight against the infected.
The Day Before is very reminiscent of The Division
The trailer's gameplay begins in a house with several survivors. The player leaves the building. Abandoned cars are standing around in the street, gunshots can be heard in the distance. The player is drawn in a fight using the cars as cover. However, the opponents are not zombies, but apparently soldiers. Suddenly a tank rumbles through a gate and the video ends there. What can be seen in the video is very reminiscent of Ubisoft's The Division 2. At first glance, one could think that this is gameplay from the well-known online shooter.
There is currently some skepticism in the community of the survival MMO The Day Before. On the one hand, because the gameplay is so reminiscent of The Division 2 and, on the other hand, because the rather unknown development studio had not previously bribed with games that could be described as Triple-A. So games with a very high production budget that is used for such impressive graphics. The two previous titles Radiant One and The Wild Eight by the FNTASTIC studio are more indie games with a comic-like look. Therefore, some players are a bit surprised to see such a fantastic looking online game and wonder if it is all real.
The Day Before is slated for release in the second quarter of 2021 Steam.
