Ubisoft has surprisingly announced a new game in the universe of The Division. The Red Storm Entertainment team is currently busy with The Division Heartland, which will be released in either 2021 or 2022 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and Cloud. Many details about the project are not yet available, but it will be a Free2Play offshoot of Ubisoft’s loot shooter series.
Even now, players can also apply for the Testing phase of The Division Heartland log on to PC and console. You can also find all information on the publisher’s website. It is still unclear whether the gameplay will differ from the previous games in the series. According to the announcement, it is a project that will offer “a brand new perspective on the universe in a new setting”. Part 1 of The Division took place in New York City. For Part 2, Washington DC was chosen as the main location by Massive Entertainment.
Only the cover picture has so far been revealed for The Division Heartland. There is no video for the Free2Play game yet. Incidentally, Ubisoft is working on other projects that will expand the world of The Division even further. Among other things, the company confirmed the development of a mobile offshoot, which will not be revealed until a later date. A film is also in production with Netflix in which Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal will play the leading roles.
