According to a recent job posting from Bethesda Game Studios, the development of The Elder Scrolls 6 may have taken off at full speed. Fans also assume that Starfield's production is almost complete. Both projects will be released for next-gen consoles. Since the announcement at E3 2018, however, there has been little information about the two games.
Fans of The Elder Scrolls 6 are currently speculating on the Reddit forum about some new ones vacancies at Bethesda, which could indicate that a significantly larger team is now working on the development of the role-playing game. Accordingly, Bethesda Game Studios are currently looking for employees who, among other things, "want to redefine the limits of RPG development for PC and console".
Before the release of The Elder Scrolls 6, Bethesda will initially launch a new IP with Starfield. Many details of the sci-fi project are not yet known. However, some fans believe that Starfield development is slowly but surely reaching the finish line. The trailers also refer to a job advertisement for a video editor that will take care of future trailers for the company. Both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 were presented as next-gen projects at E3 2018.
With the upcoming launches of the PS5 and Xbox Series X towards the end of the year, Starfield could actually be one of the first games for the new consoles. It wasn't until December 2019, however, that rumors surfaced that engine problems may have led to development delays. According to Bethesdas Todd Howard, a presentation at E3 2020 is also not yet certain. Fans will have to wait a long time for the release of The Elder Scrolls 6.
