At first glance there are worlds between Cyberpunk 2077 and World of Warcraft, but a YouTuber proves that a crossover can look extremely good and that the two games somehow fit together.

Cyberpunk 2077

The mixture of Cyberpunk 2077 and World of Warcraft sounds strange at first, but it works surprisingly well. Cyberpunk plays in a dystopian future with state-of-the-art weapons, people who change their inside and out with implants and mega-corps that control everything.

World of Warcraft, on the other hand, takes place in classic high fantasy in a fictional universe in which orcs, elves and undead fight with magic or medieval weapons and ride wolves and dinosaurs into battle. Apart from the aspect of “role play”, there aren't many things in common at first.

That changes, however, thanks YouTuber Duren. This one has the E3 2018 trailer recreated 1: 1 with models and structures from World of Warcraft and the result is really great:

Thanks to gnomes and goblins, whose buildings and objects look much more like technology and industry, the merging of both players works very well. The elements give the whole thing its own character and work very well with the cyberpunk theme.

The crossover between Cyberpunk and WoW may not be the genre mix you've been looking for, but it's one that you should have seen.
