Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for the DC film The Suicide Squad, the quasi-sequel to the 2016 film. We get to see the protagonists who have to save the world again – even though you don’t want that, of all things these guys do that.
In the first trailer for The Suicide Squad, Warner Bros. introduces us to the chaotic troop that have to save the world again. Harley Quinn (played by Margot Robbie), the former lover of the Joker, is there again. Jai Courtney also returns as a boomerang. You will get support from a number of other super bad guys. Including Peacemaker (John Cena) with his strange helmet, Bloodsport, played by Idris Elba and the voracious King Shark.
The humor is not neglected in the quasi-sequel to Suicide Squad from 2016. Quasi-sequel, because director James Gunn sees the film more as a kind of reboot, but which takes place in the same universe. Gunn’s handwriting is clearly recognizable, because the humor in the trailer is strongly reminiscent of the two films Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2, which are also made by this director.
The film The Suicide Squad is planned for a theatrical release on August 5th – provided the corona pandemic plays a role here.
