The Game Awards have been a huge annual event for both gamers and developers since they were founded in 2014. In addition to the award ceremony for the best video games of the year, some new titles are traditionally announced and gameplay is shown. As already announced a few weeks ago, the Game Awards 2020 will take place digitally. Now there is also an official date in December.
For a few weeks it has been known that due to the corona pandemic, the this year's Game Awards digital will take place. After Geoff Keighley opened the digital Gamescom 2020, he is once again part of the award ceremony as a presenter and producer. This now has an official date: On December 10, 2020, December 11, 2020 German time, the event will take place. Our awards start at 1:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 a.m. in the morning. What's new: The event will be broadcast live in three different locations: Los Angeles, London and Tokyo.
As in previous years, at the Game Awards 2020, in addition to the award ceremony, a large part of the show will consist of game announcements. Last year, the biggest reveal was certainly the Xbox Series X, which was first unveiled back then. GodfallWe saw the launch game for the Playstation 5 for the first time there, as well as that Sequel to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.
What will be presented this year is of course pure speculation, but first insights into God of War 2, Far Cry 6 or Horizon: Forbidden West would be conceivable.
