Finally there is a sign of life from Biomutant, or even two! On the one hand, those responsible for THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 have released a trailer that is almost ten minutes long and shows new gameplay from the Kung Fu RPG. Second, creative director Stefan Ljungqvist gave an update on the state of development.

For the author of these lines, Biomutant from THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 is one of the most exciting potential new releases of the current gaming year. The mythical, post-apocalyptic setting looks fresh, the design of the characters and creatures is wonderfully bizarre and if it is up to the trailers so far, the martial arts fighting system with all the gadgets and possibilities could be extremely fun.

But what about the development of the kung fu RPG? This is exactly the question that creative director Stefan Ljungqvist recently asked during a stream during the "Summer of Gaming" event (via Gematsu) answered. One had arrived in the final phase of development. Such a large and extensive game brings with it special technical challenges. According to Ljungqvist, the focus is now on removing bugs and ensuring that the player understands what to do and when.

The latter is like an biomutant in an open world game (buy now for € 399.99) According to the developer, this is particularly important because after about the first hour of play you can move around the world completely freely. Some players may like this kind of freedom, but there are others who need some kind of guidance.

The new, newly released trailer shows what the gameplay looks like:
