ProSieben will show the pilot episode of The Mandalorian on free TV two days before the official launch of Disney +. The episode will be screened there on March 22, 2020 at 8:15 p.m. The rest of the episodes will then be exclusive to the streaming service. Fans of high school musicals can also enjoy a foretaste of the series on the Disney Channel.
Those who can no longer expect the start of The Mandalorian can look forward to a little surprise from Disney and ProSieben. The pilot episode of the series will be on ProSieben's prime time two days before Disney + starts. On March 22, 2020, the TV station will even organize a special "Star Wars Day". From 8:15 p.m. there will be the first episode of The Mandalorian before the free TV premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes at 8:50 p.m. Episode 5 of the saga also starts at 5:50 p.m.
Incidentally, there will be no further episodes of The Mandalorian at ProSieben. The rest will be exclusive to Disney +. With the broadcast of the pilot episode, Disney could certainly lure some more subscribers to the streaming service. Those who are already convinced should take a look at the early bird offer. The annual subscription can currently be purchased at a discount of 10 euros for 59.99 euros.
The second season of The Mandalorian has already been confirmed by Disney. This will likely be on Disney + from October 2020. Before the streaming service starts, there will be another pre-premiere of an original on the Disney Channel. Between March 20 and 22, 2020, the broadcaster will show the first two episodes of High School Musical: The Musical: The series several times. Disney + will be officially available in Germany from March 24, 2020.
