After Valve has already published a list of the top-selling games of 2020 from Steam, the next interesting overview now follows. This time it's about the most played titles of the past twelve months. The team took into account all games that had more than 30,000 simultaneously active users at any point in the year. According to Valve, there were significantly more titles than in the previous year. For comparison: in 2019 there were twelve games that reached the 100,000 mark in this category – this year there were 26 and thus more than twice as many.
In the following list we present you the eleven titles that even had more than 200,000 simultaneously active users in the course of this year. These include the RPG Cyberpunk 2077, which was only recently released, and the multiplayer hit Among Us. But even slightly older games such as GTA 5, Terraria and PlayerUnknown's Battelgrounds were able to break the 200,000 mark in the past twelve months. Interestingly, the Adventure Life is Strange 2 is also in the top 11. Incidentally, the list is not sorted in any particular order, so that the positioning of the individual games is not particularly meaningful. Here is the overview:
