WIDESCREEN presents the latest theatrical release on Thursday, November 28, 2019. Melancholic-funny this week is "The most beautiful time of our lives": Victor tries to process the separation from his wife by letting himself be transported back in time in which the two met. With "Aretha Franklin: Amazing Grace" we finally get to see the footage with the legendary live recordings from the Queen of Soul in 1972. Big announced on film platforms and portals were already "Hustlers" with Jennifer Lopez as strippers fatale and "The Lighthouse" by young director Robert Eggers – a horror strip with potential for the Film of the Year 2019.

Hustlers
When the strip club is empty after the big financial crash of 2008, Ramona (Jennifer Lopez), the star of the club, Diamond (Cardi B) and Destiny (Constance Wu) make a plan, former customers and Wall Street businessmen make the money to pull out of the bag. With Mercedes (Keke Palmer) and Annabelle (Lili Reinhart) they put the plan into action, until then everything goes badly wrong.

The lighthouse
Maine around 1890: For four weeks, Tom Wake (Willem Dafoe), an old fur seal, and the former logger Ephraim Winslow (Robert Pattinson) take care of the light signal on a rocky island. For Wake, it's clear that the light is his thing. And so Winslow scrubs the floor from now on, if Wake wants, also several times in succession. The tension between the two men is increasing day by day. When even a storm prevents the departure of the island, break all the dams …
