If you want to play Crytek's shooter Crysis in a fancy dress, then after a postponement you can now do so on PC, PS4 and Xbox One from September 18th. The digital download is then available from the Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store at a price of 29.99 euros. The game has already been released for the Nintendo Switch.

Crysis will be even more beautiful

Crysis Remastered offers you more detailed textures with a resolution of up to 8K, HDR support, temporal anti-aliasing, Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO), Global Illumination (SVOGI), modern depth-of-field effects, new light settings, motion blur, parallax occlusion mapping , Screen Space Reflections and Shadows (SSR & SSS), and new and improved particle effects.

In addition, you can even experience ray tracing, thanks to a special, software-based ray tracing solution, even on the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. With the PC version, you can also enjoy Nvidia's DLSS technology and hardware-based ray tracing via Nvidia's VKRay Vulkan Extension. A Geforce RTX graphics card is required for this.

Crytek has also released a new tech trailer for Crysis Remastered, which you can use to see the differences between the original and the new edition.

Nothing changes in the story of the game. You are still going on a rescue mission while the aliens attack a North Korean island chain. You have the mighty Nanosuit, which makes you invisible and with which you increase your strength and your speed. This is how you can act tactically in battles.

You can find out what the remastered version will look like from September 18th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

All readers receive daily news, articles, guides, videos and podcasts about their favorite games free of charge. So far we have financed this site through advertising and kept it as free of clickbaits or paid items as possible, but since COVID-19 this has become increasingly difficult. Many companies are cutting or cutting their advertising budgets for 2020. Budgets that we unfortunately have to rely on if we want to continue to offer PC games free of charge as usual in the future.

For this reason we turn to you now. You can support us as a PC Games supporter so that we can continue to offer our content in the usual form for free, without introducing a paywall or publishing clickbait news like "And you won't believe what happened next …" . Every contribution, large or small, is valuable.
