It's still autumn, but the snow won't be long in coming. This is what the developers of The Sims 4 thought and will deliver the tenth expansion pack on November 13 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The new package is called "Off to the snow paradise" and that's the program! In an idyllic snowy landscape with a Japanese touch you will get to see all kinds of new things. We were able to take a look at the DLC and of course we don't want to withhold it from you.
In the new expansion, wild fun and meditative calm come together in one place. In the big world of Mt. Komorebi it is permanently winter. You can see pretty, white blankets of snow here all year round. In the midst of the white splendor you will find houses in Japanese design style.
Although the new concept of combining wild winter activities with relaxed meditation walks sounds strange at first, here it really is the mix. You can send your Sims down the steep slopes – on skis, snowboards or even a sled. Or you can let them go to one of the popular onsen baths, where they can recover from the stresses of the day in the hot springs.
In "Off to the Snow Paradise" you can really take advantage of the winter. The new Sim styles not only contain new winter clothes that are extra thick and warm, but also climbing equipment and more. You can not only ski and take the gondola up the mountain, you can also scramble along climbing areas with your own strength. In the new vending machines you can also buy equipment for hiking and even

Buy snowboards. By the way, skiing and snowboarding are new skills that you have to learn first. The better you get, the more routes you can ride and the intensity of the descent on known routes increases. In addition, as the level increases, there are also new boards and skis that you can buy. And those who turn out to be particularly good winter sports enthusiasts can even film themselves and sell the videos for royalties.
But what is important to note is the new weather system. Because even as a professional you can easily put it on the face of a descent when the slope is slippery. This can happen if it has not snowed for several days, because then your slope will ice up and you will end up on your pants. In addition to the actual effects of the snowfall, there are also special features such as a blizzard.

get your Sims offered in the new expansion. You can really relax. This includes the onsen, meditative walks, hot springs, but also the rock gardens and temples.
You can build your own house with a Japanese flair, because there are new elements such as Shoji doors and Kotatsu tables for the whole family. The already standing buildings in your area have all been created by well-known Sims players. You can furnish your own house in a traditional Japanese or modern way. Another new feature is a construction feature that allows you to raise or lower foundations individually. So you can create a lowered entrance area or decoratively raise smaller sections.
But the coolest new element is that you can go on the Sims vacation with the new expansion. You can even rent a house, somewhere up on the hill of the mountain for example. Although the construction mode is not available in the holiday home, you can order everything you need by clicking on the mailbox.
Off to the snow paradise obviously attaches great importance to the social aspect. Most of the activities can be done alone, but are clearly designed to be done with several Sims. The new hot pot, for example, invites you to eat together and there are new excursions for the whole family.

Another important aspect of the Sims togetherness: The lifestyles and feelings of the Sims give more depth to the Sims' personalities and relationships. The lifestyles are exclusive to "Off to Snow Paradise" and there are a total of 16 pieces that you can unlock. You can always live out three of them at the same time. They are based on the actions and behaviors of your Sims and are based on life experiences, so are much more detailed and precise than the aspirations that you set when creating a character. If one of your lifestyles doesn't suit you, you can hire a life coach to drive it out, or take a potion to erase a lifestyle. Emotions are used to explore relationships between Sims. They show how differently two Sims can react to an event and have a strong effect on each other.
In addition to all these innovations, The Sims 4 (buy now € 19.39 ) in "Off to Snow Paradise" but of course still faithful. You can woohoo in new places, there are some fun new ways to die and work, and of course your Sims still have to go to school. This time in a Japanese snow globe. The Sims 4: Off to Snow Paradise will be released on November 13, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and offers a new step into the world of funny mini mes.
Great fun for the whole Sims family!
Personally, I'm quite a frostbite, so I think it's cool that in the new Sins 4 add-on I don't even have to leave the house to experience the benefits of winter. Snowball fights, sledding and developing my snowboarding skills are now possible in addition to the heating at home! I'd only like to swap the digital onsen bath for a real one, but you can't have everything. I also find the innovations in the gameplay very interesting, especially in terms of lifestyles and emotions.
