The Niantic people have announced that the Pokémon Go Fest virtual event will take place on July 25th and 26th, 2020, and that all players around the world who take out the ticket will be able to participate in both days. In addition, the announcement suggests that raid invitations for friends will also be possible by then.

The global corona pandemic ensured a few weeks ago that the creators of Pokémon Go decided to have the next Pokémon Go Fest take place virtually. And now the Niantic people have also found an appointment for it: the world's first Virtual Pokémon Go Fest will be on July 25th and 26th, 2020 organized. Even if the players cannot gather in one place in the real world, as they did in hundreds of thousands in 2019, every fan should have the chance to participate in the Pokémon Go Fest 2020 with a buyable ticket. The price of the ticket is not yet known, but we already know that you can then play on both days – unlike the real-world Pokémon Go festivals last year.

All sorts of bonuses, wild Pokémon and special research await you on the weekend at the end of July. To do this, the developers at Niantic are creating new opportunities to interact with other trainers. Possibly this is the function of being able to invite other PoGo players to raids – that such a feature could have been implemented has been indicated for weeks by the finds of Dataminers. "We also have a few surprises in store for you this summer!" the Pokémon Go team also says. We are very excited to see what it is.

Incidentally, no exciting Pokémon can be found on the graphics for the Pokémon Go Fest 2020; at least so far we have only discovered sun-shaped cinemas, myrapla, pikachu, chubby luff and an alola kokowei. There will be details about the festival in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
