A new offshoot of The Witcher series could already be in development at CD Projekt RED Vancouver. This comes from a new job posting from the company. The team is probably looking for a camera programmer who has experience with third-person cameras. Also in the description of the position is explicitly of a “new AAA RPG set in the universe of The Witcher” spoken.

CD Projekt Red confirmed some time ago that the Witcher series with The Witcher 3 (buy now € 27.22 /29,99 € ) is not over yet, only the story about Geralt is said to have come to an end with the latest offshoot. The potential The Witcher 4 is said to be in a very early development phase and take about four years of development time. Publication would therefore be expected in 2025 at the earliest.

It looks like the Polish studio will continue to work on Cyberpunk 2077 to deliver the promised content, while CDPR Vancouver is developing a new offshoot of the Witcher franchise.

The new title will probably only be shown to the public in a few years and CDPR has not yet made any official statements about the development. Recently there was however, another job posting for a talented gameplay designer who should have experience with shooters. However, he should work on a new title with the team in Warsaw.

We will probably have to wait a while for an official announcement of a new title from CD Projekt Red, but hopefully until then the Next-gen version of The Witcher 3 provide enough distraction.
