It does not take long for The Witcher to flicker across our screens, and we can bounce through the first season alongside Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri. In the meantime, a handful of journalists and critics were already allowed to handle the first episodes and returned with consistently positive opinions.

December is almost upon us and so the year 2019 is almost over. But before we celebrate New Year, there's one more important thing to do: Enjoy The Witcher on Netflix! While we are still up to the 20th of December before we have Henry Cavill a.k.a. Accompanying Geralt von Riva on his adventures, a small audience of journalists and critics was already able to preview the first five episodes of the first season.

The critics agree

The serial adaptation of the books by Andrzej Sapkowski is expected by the fans with much skepticism, as well as with just as much excitement. Whether one faces the whole now critically or with much anticipation – the opinions of those who could already preview the series, make for a good feeling. The audience was enthusiastic and praised the structure of the series itself and the excellent choreography of the fight scenes. The performance of the actors is praised in the highest tones as "extraordinary". Real criticism has not existed yet.

Anyone who wants to get an idea of the opinions made public by the various editorial offices, can read the following Twitter messages. All these messages are natural Spoiler-freeas it should be:

Journalists and critics may be thrilled with The Witcher yet, but the toughest audience is yet to come: the Witcher games lovers, who are likely to be the biggest audience when the series celebrates its release with eight episodes. Netflix, however, already believes in the success of the series and is already planning the second season.
