The Witcher: Netflix reveals the season 1 timeline – Graphics reveals the details
With The Witcher, the series on popular novels has been available on Netflix since late December 2019. The makers are currently working on Season 2. The narrative structure of the next season should be less confusing than in the first episodes. It wasn't until the end of season 1 that it turned out for some viewers that the first episodes of The Witcher played over several time levels. In order to provide more clarity, Netflix has now published a graphic that illuminates the individual time levels in more detail. Season 1 therefore played over a period of 50 years.
The Story structure in season 1 of The Witcher on Netflix might be confusing for some viewers. Only at the end it turns out that the action takes place over several time levels. To provide more clarity, Netflix has now released a timeline for the first season of the series. Based on the graphic below, you can find out the times in which the individual episodes take place – and the stories about Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri.

However, if you don't want to be spoiled, you shouldn't call up the detailed view of the graphic. The graphic reveals that The Witcher's first season plays on Netflix in a span of 50 years. By the way, show runner Lauren S. Hissrich promises a much more linear plot for the second season of the series. The viewers would now know the protagonists' background stories – and the characters had been brought together.
Henceforth, the action could therefore proceed "in significantly more linear paths". With one or the other flashback in season 2 you can still count on it. For example, viewers should learn how some of the characters grew up. In addition, other backgrounds about Witcher Geralt should be clarified. It is not yet known when Season 2 is expected to start.
