Filming for season 2 of the Netflix series "The Witcher" recently had to be paused again. The reason: Several members of the team tested positive for the corona virus. The affected employees are now in quarantine. Nobody should be affected by the main cast around Henry Cavill.
In the coming year, the eight new episodes of "The Witcher" series will appear on Netflix. Almost a month ago we could you first pictures from shooting Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer from season 2 demonstrate. Yes, even the former ugly one Nilfgaard armor now shines in new splendor.
However, it is unclear whether the shooting of the new season can be finished this year. Recently had to shoot according to a report from Deadline namely (for the second time) to be stopped indefinitely because four employees of the team tested positive for the corona virus.
Those affected are now in quarantine. Nobody should be affected by the main cast around Henry Cavill. ViaTwitter, showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich commented on the current situation:
"The world is upside down, thank you for all the support. We witchers are okay. The health and safety of our crew and family members comes first – and we will do everything we can to protect them. We'll be back soon."
How the compulsory break will affect the release in 2021 is currently unclear. We will keep you up to date.
