Platinum Games has announced the release for The Wonderful 101: Remastered. In May 2020, fans can look forward to the new edition for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The Kickstarter campaign for the project has now raised over 1.6 million euros. This has also unlocked numerous stretch goals for The Wonderful 101.
After the new edition of The Wonderful 101 received over a million US dollars a day after the Kickstarter campaign started, fans can now also look forward to the release for the remaster. In Europe, the game will be released on May 22, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Supporters on Kickstarter could even get the title in April 2020. This month is at least currently given as an appointment on the crowdfunding platform.
"It's not just a simple port. We improved controls on all platforms and made various adjustments to make the game easier to play. We also optimized the image quality and frame rate to better fit modern hardware. Overall, I would say The Wonderful 101: Remastered is the definitive edition of the game. " Director Hideki Kamiya commented on the new edition.
Because numerous Kickstarter campaign stretch goals have already been achieved, there will also be a new 2D game called Luka's First Mission. Recently fans released a soundtrack remix with a special guest. The makers have not yet revealed who it is. On Wednesday, Platinum Games announced with Project GG a spiritual successor to The Wonderful 101 and Viewtiful Joe. There is no release for the game yet.
