The cinematic release of the real film from Mulan takes longer than previously thought. Because of the ongoing corona pandemic, Disney has decided to postpone the premiere again. According to current planning, the time should now be on August 21, 2020.
If you want to finally see the real blame of Mulan on the big screen, you have to wait a little longer than expected. A few months ago, Disney had postponed theatrical release to July 25, 2020 due to the global corona pandemic and its far-reaching effects. But the wait is ultimately a bit longer.

Because, as Disney recently announced, there is another shift. Since the cinemas, especially in most of the United States, have still not opened and the near future is also uncertain, the group has decided to postpone the Mulan theatrical release on August 21 – for now. Depending on the further development of the corona pandemic, this date could also change. Alan Horn and Alan Bergman of Walt Disney Studios told Deadline magazine:
"The pandemic has changed our plans to release Mulan, and we will continue to respond flexibly to the conditions, but none of this has changed our beliefs about the film and its message about hope and persistence."
It remains to be seen whether Mulan and many other films will be released in cinemas this year. There are some countries – including Germany – in which the cinemas are gradually opening their doors again. However, as long as large and thus important markets like the USA do not follow, the large production companies will surely continue to wait. We will keep you up to date in this regard.
