There is a new leader

from André Linken
We can announce a new leader in the Steam sales charts. As of now, the survival game Grounded is in first place, which was able to displace the VR glasses Valve Index. But the rest of the current top 10 are also worth a closer look.

For too long, the VR headset Valve Index has not been at the top of the Steam sales charts. In the meantime, it has slipped back to second place, while the currently very successful survival game Grounded by Obsidian Entertainment can be found on the throne. This is currently causing quite a stir not only on Steam, but also on the streaming platform.

But what about the rest of the top 10 sales charts? The recently released remake of the action adventure Destroy all Humans! was able to move up to third place and thus complete the podium. The PC version of Death Stranding, on the other hand, has lost a lot of ground and is now "only" in tenth place. Incidentally, the Microsoft Flight Simulator, whose steam release Microsoft had only announced last week, is new. Games such as Carrion and the Definitive Edition of Divinity: Original Sin 2 were flown out.

Incidentally, the amount of sales achieved is decisive for the placement of the individual games in the Steam sales charts. The charts are weekly in one XML feed on Steam spent. The following charts refer to the period from July 27 to August 2, 2020:

  1. Grounded
  2. Valve Index VR Kit
  3. Destroy All Humans!
  4. Sea of Thieves
  5. Microsoft Flight Simulator
  6. Halo: The Master Chief Collection
  7. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds
  8. Red Dead Redemption 2
  9. Satisfactory
  10. Death stranding
