PS5 owners were able to get an impression of the horror atmosphere of Resident Evil Village at the beginning of the year. This will be released on May 7, 2021 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One. In the Maiden demo, as a nameless maid, you could already explore the old castle, which is one of the main locations in the game. In it you have already solved puzzles, but also made the acquaintance of the residents around the imposing Lady Dimitrescou.

New demo – limited-time gaming fun

As part of the new showcase on April 15th, Capcom has finally announced the start of the second demo. It is offered on all release platforms and starts on May 2nd, 2021. The demo is limited in time and can only be played for one day, so you should keep your calendar free.

In the demo you have the opportunity to explore a much larger area than in the Maiden demo. There you were only in the castle, now you can explore both the castle and the eponymous village. This gives you an insight into all the features of the finished game – that is, battles, puzzles and exploration. But you don’t have much time for sightseeing, because the demo itself is limited in time. According to Capcom, it’s over after 60 minutes and you can choose whether you’d rather spend your time in the castle, in the village, or in both. At the time of going to press, Capcom was not able to tell us whether you can restart the demo afterwards.

PlayStation owners at an advantage

PlayStation owners will not go out without a bonus this time either. All PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 owners will have earlier access to parts of the demo. At the “8 Hours in Village (buy now )“-Event, Capcom is splitting the trial version into two parts, each with 30 minutes of playing time.

In the first part you can explore the surroundings of the village from April 18 at 5:00 p.m. to April 19 at 1:00 a.m. The second part then follows a week later from April 25th at 5:00 p.m. to April 26th at 1:00 a.m. with the play area in the castle. You can already download the first part of the demo now. Of course, PlayStation owners also get access to the full trial version afterwards.

But even without a demo you can get a first impression of the game. In our special on the newly revealed mercenaries fashion, we summarize all the important information. We were also able to take a look at the additional Multiplayer offshoot Resident Evil Re: Verse throw and give you an extensive alpha conclusion.

Of course, the connection to the umbrella group should not be missing. [Quelle: Capcom]
