Activison's F2P Battle Royale shooter has already captivated more than 30 million players. But is the hype justified? The game was developed by Infinity Ward and is basically Call of Duty: Mondern Warfare as a stand-alone battle royale. The gameplay is therefore as smooth as you know it from CoD. Although the release was not long ago, the shooter is already going well, but occasionally annoying due to balancing problems, which are almost a part of new games from the genre. Loot money mode provides a breath of fresh air in the genre by requiring your team to collect one million credits. In addition to random money spawns, tasks in which, for example, you take out certain teams or have to get to certain locations on the huge map, provide additional money. The team that is the first to have the total and lets the coal fly out at one of the extraction points wins the game. Similar to other free Battle Royale games, too Call of Duty: Warzone a season pass can be bought, but this does not offer any playful advantages and only offers a lavish selection of skins that are unlocked by playing. So if you have a more powerful PC or PS4 / XBO at home, you should definitely have a look at Warzone. Only at Download Call of Duty Warzone is required with 100GB of patience if your line is not the fastest.

You need a little less stamina Download DOTA 2, however, you can only participate in the fun as a PC player. Dota goes back to the DotA Allstars Beta, which was playable in February 2004 as a custom game from Warcraft 3. In the meantime, Valve itself has developed it itself Dota 2 is getting on in years but is still a good mood. DOTA 2 is anything but beginner-friendly, but once you get the hang of it and understand the 119 heroes, the pulling principle of the game develops. Dota 2 becomes particularly exciting when you follow tournaments of the e-sports scene. The advantage is that in times without physical sports, events in competitive gaming can still take place virtually. You should expect that the players have problems with their internet connection or that there are other technical problems, but the moderators and players have all dealt with it humorously so far.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
If we are already at Valve and prehistoric rocks, may Counter-Strike: Global Offensive also not missing. The number of spectators for counter strike tournaments on Twitch is still unbeatable compared to other shooters. The almost eight-year-old CS: GO recently set a new player record. How is that possible? The gameplay is just right! It's not just running and shooting wildly, but every action by the ten players on the server has a serious impact on how the rest of the round will look. Of course, there are also the tons of custom game modes that the community has created over the years and are also great for relaxed gaming. In addition, players still love to invest huge amounts of money in skins, which besides the weapon boxes are the only things that require money. The hardcore shooter experience is certainly one of the main reasons why a large number of players still spend countless hours with Counter-Strike.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft
You can find real relaxation in the Hearthstonethat revolves around the Warcraft universe. Well, maybe not just relaxation, but at least the background music is soothing. At the release of the game in 2014 there were about 300 playing cards, today the number has increased tenfold, with exactly 3006. But don't be put off by this, there are only a limited number of cards that are in the "active pool" and you also start on Start with a handful of standard cards. If you really wanted to have the new cards, you have to put a lot of money in your hand or play for half an eternity. Fortunately, the composition of a deck is only relevant in 1v1 multiplayer games if you search for a game using the "game mode". The three other multiplayer modes are more suitable for casual gaming anyway and can easily be paddled on the side. Ideally on a cell phone or on a second monitor to be able to do something else in parallel.
If you are more into action-role playing à la Diablo, you should definitely Path of Exile to bring to mind. You won't have a great story experience, but a hack'n slay that will keep you busy for a long time and will always give you a kick or two when the right orange item lights up again. Although there are no Pay2Win elements that offer you a direct advantage within the game, it is almost indispensable to buy an extension for the warehouse after playing for a long time. After all, you can also enjoy Path of Exile on Xbox One and Playstation 4, and the problem with the storage space in Path of Exile 2 should no longer exist, but the second part can be a bit long in coming, because here too Covid-19 virus is already causing beta delays.

Do you feel like a shooter, but you still don't want to do without loot? Then you are Warframe well advised. The third-person shooter is no longer a youngster either, but in the past two years the action RPG has really taken off. For a Free2Play shooter, Warframe has always had nice graphics, but the release didn't offer much more than that. The developers of Digital Extremes have taken this to heart, which apparently makes many other studios so difficult. You listened to the developers on the community. Many of the suggestions the players have longed for have been implemented and ensure that new content is constantly finding its way into the game. The new features are also free if you don't consider the huge amount of hours of play as currency. In addition, the game is now also available for Switch, XBO and PS4. All in all, Warframe doesn't have to hide from other titles in the genre and even outstrips some Triple-A titles.

EVE Online: Player buys spaceship for $ 33,000

If you like to be part of huge battles, but also consider gravity and solid ground under your feet as an important asset, you should try the war simulator from Gaijin Entertainment. In Was thunder you take control of planes, ships, helicopters and tanks. Realism is very important, according to the simulator style. Air and ground units, for example, have no hit points, instead certain parts or the crew of the vehicles have to be eliminated to defeat an opponent. In addition, the driving and flight behavior of all vehicles is as realistic as possible. In other words, if you accidentally hit your tank somewhere, it will take some time before you have accelerated the heavy tin can back to maximum speed. The controls on planes and helicopters also take some getting used to and require appropriate practice in order not to end up as a Kamikaze pilot. As a beginner, it is recommended to get a feel for the game first in arcade mode. Realism is reduced a bit and things like target assist or automatic reloading support you in the battles. The battles themselves are still difficult enough despite the help because there are so many vehicles that are all different from one another. The arsenal itself is modeled very faithfully on the originals and contains vehicles and planes from the beginning of the Second World War to the modern day. The only drawback in terms of Pay2Win is that it has been extremely long before vehicles are unlocked and with some money they are immediately available with full upgrades. As a real fan of realistic battles and detailed vehicles, you shouldn't let that deter you.

Was Thunder: Realistic F2P battle simulator in review
A somewhat fictional route suggests the thoroughbred tank battle from Wargaming.net. That ensures in World of Tanks for battles with a significantly higher game speed than is the case in War Thunder. The tanks still feel believable and cause some nerve-wracking games in the 15 vs. 15 battles – in the big battles even 30 tanks can compete against each other. 30 sounds too much for a Battlefield player like 28 vehicles, but on the maps the number of tanks is appropriate and the different maps always bring different game dynamics. The feeling of being left alone rarely arises, unless you ignore the positions of your own teammates or dash like a madman with the light tank into the enemy lines. In addition to the light offshoot, the metal giants are divided into medium and heavy tanks, and there are also tank destroyers and artillery – similar to War Thunder, there is also a distinctive Pay2Progress system. Teams need to have a good mix of all variants to win. Of course, it also depends heavily on the individual skills of the individual players, but as a lone fighter you rarely win. World of Tanks can be played on PC, PS4 and XBO.

World of Tanks: Developers introduce Battle Pass for the PC
Source: Epic Games
As far as the integration of new content is concerned Fortnite definitely a prime example. Epic Games always manages to incorporate new skins, map changes and weapons into the game, which provide the necessary variety. Of course, one or the other change is sometimes a touch in the toilet, but the developer studio is not afraid to remove these mistakes from the game. In addition, no Free2Play title attracts the wallet as much as Fortnite. In most cases, the new season pass feels so worthwhile that you just think: "Shut up and take my money". In addition, all purchases outside of appearance have no effect on gameplay.
Nothing has changed in the game's outstanding performance since the beta started. At least only that Battle Royals manage to keep consistently high FPS numbers. Of course, the graphics are far from a feast for the eyes, but this is not particularly important in the comic style. If you are someone who has already played Fortnite and are interested in playing a round again, pay attention! The player base is now significantly smaller, which means that you will encounter much more die-hard opponents. The average skill level has risen massively, which offers you a variety of action-packed battles – apart from one or the other mobile player. Even if you can no longer hear Fortnite, if you give the game a chance again, you could be pleasantly surprised. In addition, crossplay is now an integral part of the game and you can easily play with your friends who have a Switch, PS4 or Xbox. It's definitely worth trying, after all it costs nothing – except maybe a few nerves.
