The Epic Games Store names the next free games. Additional PC games will also be available free of charge in the coming week via the download platform. From August 13th you will start the downloads at The Alto Collection and Remnant: From the Ashes. The games will then be available free of charge for seven days. Until it is activated, you get the free version of Wilmot's Warehouse. The indie puzzle game has been available for free since 5 p.m. on the Epic Games Store. In addition, surprisingly 3 out of 10, EP 1: "Welcome To Shovelworks" is now available for free.

The Epic Games Store names the next free full PC versions. As can be seen on the website of the download store, the PC games The Alto Collection and Remnant: From the Ashes will be available for free download in the coming week. You can secure the games from August 13th. Members with a profile on the Epic Games Store will link the full versions to their account within a week. Once you have done that, you can then keep and play the Alto Collection and Remnant: From the Ashes permanently.

The upcoming free games will be available until August 20 – after that the offer will change. We will find out which full version follows the Alto Collection and Remnant when the games are activated in the next week. The Alto Collection contains the full versions of Alto's Adventure and Alto's Odyssey with more than 120 levels, 360 goals and seven characters. In your adventure, you whiz down slopes in the Alps, over dunes and through ancient forests. The video below provides a foretaste. What you can expect from the survival shooter Remnant: From the Ashes, you can read in our detailed review.

Until the release of the new games, you will still have access to the full versions that the Epic Games Store is distributing for free this week: The full version of Wilmot's Warehouse has been available free of charge since 5 p.m. Surprisingly, the adventure 3 out of 10, EP 1: "Welcome To Shovelworks" was added to the list of current free games. By the end of the year, the store plans to give away at least one PC game every seven days. Most recently, the platform distributed GTA 5, Civilization 6 and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, among others.

All readers receive news, articles, guides, videos and podcasts about their favorite games from us free of charge. So far we have financed this page through advertising and kept it as free as possible from clickbaits or paid items, but since COVID-19 this has become increasingly difficult. Many companies are cutting or cutting their advertising budgets for 2020. Budgets, which we unfortunately rely on if we want to continue offering PC games in the usual way free of charge in the future.

For this reason, we are now turning to you. You can support us as a PC games supporter so that we can continue to offer our content in the usual way for free without introducing a paywall or clickbait news á la "And you will not believe what happened then …" . Every contribution, large or small, is valuable.
