During the second episode of the Night City Wire show, the developers of the action RPG Cyberpunk 2077 talked about the three paths in life you choose at the beginning and also something about the weapons and fights.
Until the release of Cyberpunk 2077 on November 19th it will take a while. The development studio CD Projekt Red bridged the waiting time with the show Night City Wire, of which the second episode was shown on August 10th.
More about the hotly anticipated action RPG
The new episode was initially about the paths of life. At the beginning of the game you decide whether you want to be a nomad, a street kid or a corpo. Depending on the situation, the adventure starts differently and you get different advantages and disadvantages in the game. As a street kid, you grew up on the streets and know your way around the city and are well versed in street slang. It's a little easier for you, especially when dealing with the gangs. A corpo, on the other hand, is a manager in the Arasaka group. You don't really know how things go on the street, you can negotiate very well for it. This opens up completely different possibilities for quests than for a street kid. And as a nomad you are more familiar with the outside areas and less with the city itself. You had nothing to do with corporations or life on the streets, but you know how to survive under adverse circumstances.
You can see some excerpts from the three life paths in the gameplay video for Cyberpunk 2077.
The second video brings you a little closer to the battles and weapons of the game world. So you can choose between different weapon categories such as close combat, smart weapons or energy weapons, all of which are suitable for different purposes. So you should decide which weapons to take with you before a mission. You can also find many other weapons of different levels during the adventures. Legendary guns, for example, are particularly powerful. You can also modify the ratchets to suit your style of play. This is also explained in more detail in the video.
The team is also currently working on improving and optimizing the hand-to-hand combat so that it feels really good when Cyberpunk 2077 is released on November 19th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The level of difficulty should also feel good. Especially when you meet weaker opponents, they can be turned off with just a few hits. The developers want to avoid the so-called "bullet sponge" effect of some games. Her whole magazine shoots at enemies, which just doesn't seem to bother them. In Cyberpunk 2077 (buy now for € 58.19) should that feel a little more realistic.
