Disney hired two well-known actors for the prequel series of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. These are Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Soller, who will slip into previously unknown roles. However, the production of the series is currently on hold due to the corona crisis.
Under the Disney banner, a prequel series about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is being created, with a lot about the character Cassian Andor. Due to the current corona crisis, the production of the series is currently on hold. Still, there is some interesting news about the cast, as Disney recently hired two well-known actors for the project.
According to a report by the Variety magazine, Disney was able to secure the services of Stellan Skarsgard. Many of you might know him from films like "Good Will Hunting", "Amistad" or "Thor". Skarsgard will also be seen in the remake of the science fiction classic – in the role of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. Also on board is actor Kyle Soller, who has made a name for himself with his appearances in "Anna Karenina" and "Heart of Steel". It is not yet known what roles Skarsgard and Soller will take on in the new Star Wars series.
It is also known that Tony Gilroy will write the pilot episode. He was already involved in the script for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and is therefore very familiar with the story and the most important characters. Among other things, he works closely on this project with showrunner Stephen Schiff, who in turn has worked on films such as "Wall Street: Money Doesn't Sleep" and "Lolita". When the series around Cassian Andor will celebrate its premiere is currently not clear.
