Star Citizen continues to cast its spell over countless gamers. The evidence for that? In the last three months alone, more than twelve million US dollars were raised via crowdfunding. This enabled those responsible at Cloud Imperium Games to crack the almost surreal mark of 350 million US dollars. By the way, a few days ago there was a new inside video from the developers about the current progress.

We reported on Star Citizen for the last time on December 22, 2020. At the time, those responsible looked on Cloud Imperium Games looks back on the progress made in 2020. The crowdfunding mark was over $ 338 million. Almost three million "Star Citizens" had already thrown money into the pot for their virtual SciFi dream.

Almost three months later, the developers can look forward to the next, almost surreal milestone. The ruble keeps rolling happily. The additional twelve million US dollars generated raise the Total crowdfunding amount of the project to a whopping $ 351,375,193. The ticker shows 3,041,549 donors today, March 17th.

If you want to find out about the latest advances in the game, you should take a look at the developers' inside video below, which focuses primarily on the sci-fi MMO's floor display. The designers want to provide the most realistic possible driving behavior and use tire or chain models that are based on data from real vehicles.

A release date does not seem to be in sight. The actual Roadmap suggests that there is no way we can expect a launch this year. And Development process of the single-player release Squadron 42, Chris Roberts and Co. do not want to express themselves in detail anyway – to avoid spoilers.
