This week there are a few interesting new features in Call of Duty: Warzone. A new item, as well as new weapons for the Gulag mix up Verdansk and a completely new game mode wants to go back to the roots.
Call of Duty: Warzone does a lot different than other genre representatives, especially the re-entry opportunities are already a unique selling point. A new mode should now leave out what makes Warzone unique.
New item: Armor box
Infinity Ward recently added a new item to the important armor plates. With the "Armor Satchel" players could wear eight instead of the maximum five armor plates. With the current patch there is another item for armor plates. The Armor-Box works like the Ammo-Box, so it equips the entire team with plates. You can find them as a loot or buy them at a buy station.
New weapon in the gulag
Six assault rifles and four submachine guns are now added to the loadout rotation that you happen to get for your Gulag duel:
- Kilo 141
- Striker 45
Only fully automatic weapons have been added, none with single or burst mode.
New mode: Classic Battle Royale
You can only play this classic mode for a limited time. Here it goes back to the base of Battle Royale, that is, there is no gulag, no orders and no buy stations. This means that the biggest differences between Warzone and other Battle Royale games are missing for this game mode.
The new item armor box in particular could be an important item for teams in the final phase of a match, in which buy stations can no longer be reached and the availability of armor is a decisive factor. What do you think of the innovations? Do you think Warzone needs this classic mode? Write it in the comments.
