Westworld makers work with Bethesda

The popular Fallout series is being implemented as a series by Amazon in cooperation with the games manufacturer Bethesda. The creators of Westworld – Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy – should be responsible for the story.

Fallout games have been a hit with gamers since the late 1990s – and yet there has been no implementation for television or even the big screen. But that should change in the future: Amazon Studios have announced a cooperation with Bethesda, the developers of Fallout 3, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, to produce a TV series. They don't work with anyone: Lisa Fall and Jonathan Nolan, who already created the Westworld series for HBO, are supposed to be responsible for the Fallout series.

Makers of Westworld as showrunners?

While Todd Howard from Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman from Bethesda Sofworks will be executive producers, the question remains of what exactly Nolan and Joy will do. The duo has contracts for three more seasons Westworld. In this respect, the Fallout series will probably be a long time coming. Or the two really only work as executive producers, while someone else is selected as a show runner.

When is the next Fallout game coming?

Fans of the weird post-apocalypse can definitely look forward to the series – because while developer studio Bethesda recently published the online game Fallout 76 and otherwise works on the sci-fi role-playing game Starfield, the chances of an upcoming new Fallout part are poor. After the release of Starfield, the next part of The Elder Scrolls is coming up, so a Fallout 5 should be easily several years away. A series could act as a consolation.
