Will Persona 4 Golden be ported to PC (Steam)?

from Karsten Scholz
The rumor mill is bubbling again? Are the developers at Atlus planning to release one of the best parts of the popular Persona series on PC? A corresponding announcement is apparently to be released this week.

When it comes to the best Japanese role-playing games in the history of video games, two games from Atlus should not be missing: Persona 4 Golden or Persona 5. I wrote about the latter title in mine Review of 2017 euphoric:

"The JRPG from Atlus is a festival for every genre fan for several reasons. The interlinking between the genre-typical struggles in the fictional metaverse, the realistic activities in everyday school life and the motivating role-playing framework works dazzlingly, the story is exciting, the characters are personable and the fantastic audiovisual style is second to none. "

Persona 5 was an unforgettable highlight for me in an extremely strong game year (thanks to Nier: Automata, Divinity: Original Sin 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Horizon: Zero Dawn). All the more I would like to catch up with the predecessor Persona 4, which was first released in 2008 for Playstation 2, received a PS Vita port in 2012 and 2013 and is said to be the best part of the Persona series according to some fans.

If you feel the same, because Persona 4 has been a pure console or handheld title so far, then maybe I have good news for you (and me). Apparently, the Atlus managers are planning to announce a PC port (for Steam) for Persona 4 Golden this week.

Note # 1: Via Twitter, the developers have revealed that there will be exciting news at the PC Gaming Show on Saturday, with a new one Atlus page on Steam communicates.

Note # 2: On SteamDB are an entry and teaser pictures for Persona 4 Golden popped up (via Gamestar). Several other sources also speak of a steam release of the fourth persona part:

Of course we will keep you up to date after the PC Gaming Show.
