Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, started very successfully in February, but it quickly turned out that the Hack and Slay was plagued by many bugs and technical problems. The developers promised improvements that have also come over the past few months. Now, with Chronicle 1: Bloodtrail, a very big update follows, which finally brings new content with it.

The big update is here

The update has been installed since December 3rd and you can experience the new content. These include:

  • The "Chronicles" game mode, which has seasons that you can customize
  • A new quest in which you will get baby dragons as pets
  • Generally pets who collect items for you
  • The build-up game mode "Champions of Stormfall" got new buildings
  • Rangers and villains enjoy new skills
  • There are many revisions to the skill tree, the UI for crafting, as well as bug fixes and balancing adjustments

The ratings on Steam are "balanced" with 68%. Some players find the update really good and are happy about the innovations and the new content. But there are also voices who still speak of bugs and lags. The team behind Wolcen naturally wants to continue working on the Action-RPG.

So there is still a lot to do, but with Chronicle 1: Bloodtrail, Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem appears (buy now ) to go in a right direction. If you want to continue playing with the update, you have to keep in mind that it will reset the economy in the game, which means that everyone will have to start over. If you don't want that, you can play on the legacy server – but without the innovations of Chronicle 1: Bloodtrail.
