The action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has received an extensive patch that weakens an overpowering skill. This affects one of the most popular character builds.
In Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem the "Curse of Tyranny" (Bane of Tyranny) skill has been pretty powerful so far, allowing players to use the character build Siege Breaker to quickly defeat bosses with just a few hits. It is different now.
A "nerf" that was important
The weakening of the skill (nerf) was important. After all, the fighting in Wolcen should be a challenge. The problem with the skill was that it gave a +50 damage bonus multiplied by the shield's blocking chance. This has resulted in huge damage bonuses. This has now changed with the current patch. The bonus has been reduced to +0.5.
In addition, the update also weakens the life point regeneration of the "Secure Parade" skill (Secure Parry), which made you almost invulnerable because the hero's hit points regenerated so quickly that some enemies could hardly do any damage.
You can now download the approximately 2.8 GB update for Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem via Steam. It brings with it a number of other improvements that you see in the Patch notes can read through.
