WoW: More accessibility – settings for gaming sickness
Motion sickness, which is also known as motion sickness or motion sickness, manifests itself in different ways, most often accompanied by nausea, dizziness and headaches. Some MMO players have problems with this effect in their favorite games. The WoW developers want to give them support from Shadowlands on, because settings were found in the beta client that suggest this assumption.
Motion sickness is commonly known as motion sickness or travel sickness, but it no longer only affects people in everyday life, ship travelers or people in general in moving vehicles, but sometimes also people who gamble. Symptoms such as nausea, dizziness and headaches often occur in VR games, but also in driving and flight simulators as well as in first-person shooters. Or even when playing World of Warcraft.
In order to reduce the causes of the so-called gaming sickness, the developers of WoW (buy now for 14.54 €) apparently with Shadowlands add new setting options in the accessibility options of the client, which you can find under the point Interface. There are currently settings for color blindness filters, i.e. for those who are affected by protanopia, deuteranopia or tritanopia. The beta client does not currently have the settings for gaming sickness, but the Dataminer from WoWHead found corresponding strings in the code.
In all likelihood, this will allow the intensity of camera movement and wobble effects to be adjusted in the future, as well as the possibility of the character remaining in the center of the screen so that it can serve as a fixed point. As soon as the new options are in the beta of WoW: Shadowlands we will try them out for you.
