We definitely do not owe the fact that the Xenoblade series is one of Nintendo's strongest brands today. When the first part, Xenoblade Chronicles, appeared in Japan in 2010, Nintendo didn't even plan to release it outside of Japan. This only came about due to a large-scale petition, which prompted Nintendo to rethink – over a year later, the role-playing game came to Europe, again several months in the US and cashed in on dream ratings.
Good for Nintendo that the fans were so eager because the title sold very well and kept up Xenoblade Chronicles X and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 plus the giant Add-on Torna: The Golden Country already two successful successors. The first part was also implemented for the New Nintendo 3DS,
However, this is not the last time that we will see him. Nintendo announced last year namely Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (buy now) a technically complex new edition of the first one. More than that, it will also contain new or originally deleted areas, as the first trailer revealed.
So far, we only knew that the game would be released sometime in 2020. However, there are now indications of the exact release date. A few days ago, the adventure was listed in a Danish online shop with the release date May 29, 2019. Shortly afterwards, a Swedish online retailer followed suit and reported the same date.
Now it may be that the first date leak was a placeholder and its Swedish colleagues simply wrote off. However, as a placeholder, when the year of publication is known, December 31 of the respective year is usually mentioned – May 29, a Friday, sounds very specific. It is therefore quite possible that the retailer has not yet released certain internal data to the public, whether by mistake or with the plan to thereby generate attention for his shop.
Until we know more details, we will have to wait at least until the next edition of the Nintendo video format Nintendo Direct, which is expected in the coming weeks. In the past few weeks, Nintendo has already shown videos about new Pokémon content and about the fifth DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As soon as more details are known, you will of course read about them from us!
